New Four Legged Police Officers
Los Santos

New Four Legged Police Officers

Following the recent crime across Los Santos, it seems the Los Santos Police Department has been recruiting. Over recent weeks, we have noticed new officers within the force, however these officers are of the four legged type. We saw one of the new officers in action this evening, November 12th when a vehicle had failed to stop for officers. The vehicle took chase, which ended up in a collision in Temple. However, the driver had left the vehicle and been detained by officers, or so we thought. In a crazy turn of events, the male managed to get up from officers and run a short distance. However, not for long. Sergeant Whitelock and his four legged partner were quick on the chase, with the dog and Officer Swanson able to restrain the male. The dog was quick off the mark and gave chase instantly. Within seconds, the male was restrained and in a position for police officers to make an arrest. Following the incident, we spoke to Sergeant Whitelock about his new partner. He said; “Oh, he’s been really helpful, tracking down runners like buddy over there.” We also asked Sergeant Whitelock about the types of crime Oscar, the dog assists with. He said; “Sniffing out drugs, firearms, ammunition.” Finally, we asked Sergeant Whitelock if he thinks the K9 should be rolled out more across the force. He replied with; “Definitely. Though Oscar is doing a great job on his own already. But we don’t mind extra furry crime stoppers.” What Does This Mean For Criminals? The K9 Unit will be rolled out across the Los Santos Police Department. If you are a criminal who considers fleeing on foot, be mindful that a four legged officer like Oscar could be following. The LSPD are taking proactive steps towards strengthening their team. Implementations like Oscar are only the first step in the fight against crime. 0 0

Silence From The Mayors Office
Los Santos

Silence From The Mayors Office

In recent months, we have made several attempts to contact the mayors office. We first contacted the mayors office on the 10th October 2024. This was in regards to the Officer Bishop Incident, attacking a young male from Ganton. We wrote directly to the mayor on the 10th October 2024, asking for her input externally, to prevent corruption playing a part within the Los Santos Police Department. The mayor wrote back to us, providing some details and also confirming that a meeting between Shaw News and the mayor would be booked within the following few days. This was to discuss this incident along with several others, causing issues on our streets. However, nothing came of the meeting with the mayor. We didn’t hear anything more about this incident or speaking with the mayor. This resulted in Officer Bishop continuing with his duties until he sexually assaulted a female, of which he offered money for sexual services. Failure to take action from the mayors office allowed Officer Bishop to continue causing incidents on our streets. However, we also wrote to the mayor on several other occasions too. We wrote to the mayor on the 15th October 2024, to query the status of the Officer Bishop Investigation. We also had several other stories about Officer Bishop lined up, and wanted to work alongside both the government and the LSPD to ensure action was taken. The mayors office did provide a response, but still no action, and no meeting. The mayors office confirmed that the LSPD was investigating the incident. However, still no further information on meeting to discuss this incident along with many others. We also telephoned the mayors office on several occasions to follow up. The Start Of The Silence Following the initial incident with Officer Bishop attacking a young male, he sexually assaulted a young female on our streets too. We wrote directly to the mayor for comment and to investigate the incident in detail, failing the action needed in earlier incidents. The mayors office did offer a reply on this occasion, but this was the final reply we got from the mayors office. The mayor claimed that the DOJ’s Cicil Rights Division would be investigating the matter and to deliver a result. However, this didn’t bring up any results, and Officer Bishop was killed. As mentioned, we have also written to the mayors office on other occasions too, following this one. We wrote to the mayor directly in regards to the Isabella Rossi investigation. We again, requested to meet with the mayor or representative to discuss the issues and to develop a plan to restore public trust. We didn’t get a reply to this letter, at all. The final letter we have written to the mayors office was on the 30th October 2024. We queried the Los Santos Police Department along with several concerns. We also solidified our position on the matter, but again, got no reply. The Mayor Has Failed With the increased silence and lack of involvement from the mayor, the mayor has failed. A young male was attacked on our streets, no involvement. A female was sexually assaulted, no involvement. While this is in the jurisdiction of the Los Santos Police Department, the mayor was requested on multiple occasions. This is not to be confused with the failings of the Los Santos Police Department though. If the LSPD had stepped up when needed, we would’ve had a resolvement sooner, which would’ve kept the young female safe from sexual assault. The existing mayor, Victor Chase is not suitable for the position. We require immediate appointment of a more suitable mayor who can make change. We have written to the relevant people. 0 0

Van Chase Results In Shots Fired

Van Chase Results In Shots Fired

In the early hours of 12th November, a van chase resulted in shots fired in Jefferson Motel. Sergeant Parker conducted a traffic stop on a black van following reports of gunshots in Idlewood. He conducted the stop, which was going smoothly. However, another individual became involved in the stop, speaking to the driver. Within a couple of seconds, the individual joined the driver in the van, and the van took off. Sergeant Parker gave chase to the van, which lasted over fifteen minutes. The van drove dangerously, at speed through Downtown Los Santos, Jefferson, El Corona, East Los Santos and more. On several occasions, the driver stopped and attempted to ram the police vehicle at speed, with the goal of disabling the vehicle. However, officers expected this move from the driver and took precautions to continue on the tail of the van. The chase concluded with two individuals running into the Jefferson Motel, armed. Two Males Shot Within the Jefferson Motel, two males engaged in gunfire with officers. Shots were exchanged between the officers and the individuals. This resulted in both individuals being shot by officers, several times. What was a serious chase, involving a lot of dangerous driving and speeding, resulted in both males being shot by officers. With crime constantly on the rise, it’s not a shock to be back at the Jefferson Motel for another incident. Both Males were armed with handguns and didn’t hesitate in firing shots towards officers. Second Incident… While on the scene, an officer who will remain without name at this time, responded to the call of gunshots. However, she arrived with an individual under arrest, in her police car. This individual was unwell at the time, and struggling with nausea. At the time, the individual was sick on several occasions. It required input from the public before she decided to take the individual to the hospital. We plan on releasing a full article on this separate incident shortly. We have also written to Cameron Briggs of the LSPD for comment. 0 0
