Following the recent snowfall in Los Santos, The Los Santos Weather Office has released an official statement in regards to the weather. We suspect this will follow with a weather warning of some kind in the future.
The statement from The Los Santos Weather Office reads;
“LOS SANTOS, SA — The Los Santos Weather Office today issued an update on the rare snowfall event currently affecting the city and surrounding areas. Snowfall began early this morning and is expected to continue through into the following days. This unusual weather is the result of a strong cold front moving down from northern San Andreas.
“This is a rare event for Los Santos,” said Weather Office Director Maria Solis. “We are urging all residents to take precautions as temperatures drop below freezing and road conditions become hazardous.”
Key points from the Weather Office’s statement include:
- Snow accumulation: Up to 2 inches in some areas, with higher amounts in the hills.
- Freezing temperatures: Lows are expected to reach 28°F (-2°C) tonight.
- Travel impacts: Roads may be icy, and delays are likely. Drivers should avoid unnecessary travel.
- Emergency services and city departments are working to address the situation. Sand trucks and plows are being deployed to key areas.
Residents are advised to:
- Stay off the roads if possible.
- Keep heaters running safely and check on neighbors.
- Follow updates from city officials and local news outlets.
- “This snowfall is a reminder to always be prepared for unexpected weather,” Director Solis added. “We’ll continue monitoring the situation and provide updates as needed.”
