On the evening of November 27th, Governor Blackwood released a statement regarding the resignation of Emma Nilsen, and a special election for a new mayor.
The statement contained key election dates, of which registration, voting and campaigning will happen. We have covered those key dates in this article.

The Key Dates
The key dates include;
- Candidate Registration: December 1-7, 2024
- Campaign Period: December 8-15, 2024
- Election Days: December 16-17, 2024
- Results Certification: December 18, 2024
- New Administration Takes Office: December 19, 2024
